Old Town Christmas Market – the Traditional Christmas Market

The Christmas season in Innsbruck's Old Town exudes tradition, romance, and atmosphere. Against the backdrop of the Golden Roof, the Christmas market stalls line up along the historic facades. Visitors can find an array of Christmas ornaments, handcrafted items, cozy woolen goods, and souvenirs. An observation platform offers a wonderful view over the rooftops of the stalls. From the Golden Roof, tower musicians add a magical touch with traditional Christmas music. Marktplatz – the Family-Friendly Christmas Market

Perfect for families with children: during the pre-Christmas season, Marktplatz on the Inn transforms into a Christmas market in the style of a Tyrolean village. A varied children's program awaits young visitors, with attractions such as puppet theater and story time. A nostalgic carousel is also available – lovingly carved figures carry young riders around. A 14-meter-tall tree adorned with Swarovski crystals sparkles over the square, creating a special ambiance. Additionally, 60 stalls invite you to browse and enjoy, offering a variety of shopping options and culinary treats for all visitors.
